IBDase poster selected as “Highly recommended poster” at the 6th congress of ECCO, Dublin
14/02/11 09:37
The 6th congress of the European Crohn’s & Colitis
Organization (ECCO) will be held in Dublin, Ireland

aim is “to strive for an optimization of care for
patients with IBD in all aspects”. In the
scientific session “Daily changes in IBD”,
Isabelle Cleynen from Leuven University will
present a poster entitled “Role of the CYLD
protease gene in Crohn’s disease, independent from
its neighbouring gene CARD15”. This poster is
among the 20 best submitted abstracts selected by
a panel of referees that have been chosen for oral

The
18th United European Gastroenterology week
(UEGW) was held in Barcelona, Spain from
23rd to
27th of
October 2010. UEGW is now among the top medical
meetings in Europe and is recognized as a top class
gastroenterology meeting also outside of Europe.
In the poster session dedicated to the Inflammatory Bowel Disease “Inflammatory Bowel Disease (III)”, Emilie Vazeille (Université d’Auvergne, Clermont Ferrand) presented a poster entitled “Role of meprins to protect the gut mucosa from colonization by adherent-invasive Escherichia Coli”. The results presented are the outcome of the collaborations between three IBDase project partners: University of Bern, Université d’Auvergne, Clermont Ferrand and Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz.
